All year
Historic Main Avenue keeps its restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, galleries and boutiques within an easy walk. Two blocks from our residence, the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad still runs its steam schedule into the mountains.
Summer
Biking, fly fishing, rafting and tubing on the Animas, Jeep tours, hiking, Lake Nighthorse, golf, horseback riding and rock climbing — most of it starting within a short drive of downtown.
Winter
Purgatory Resort sits about thirty minutes north with 100+ trails, tubing, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing and family activity, then an easy return to town for dinner.
Longer stays
For work assignments, seasonal stays and family transitions, Durango rewards time. Our Third Avenue residence is built for that pace — room to spread out, and the town on foot.
